Brighter Days was built as a free, open-to-everyone day of house music in the heart of Seattle. Produced by HousePartySEA in partnership with Good Vibes: Cal Anderson Park, Hunters Capital, and Seattle Parks and Recreation, the goal was to bring underground dance music culture into a public space, pairing a full DJ lineup with food trucks and art activations to create a welcoming community gathering rather than a ticketed club night.
Talent booking: Curated and booked the artist lineup, shaping the musical flow of the day from start to finish.
Sound and equipment: Secured the sound system and equipment, making sure an outdoor, all-day event had club-quality audio.
Branding: Led event branding, creating a visual identity that carried across promotion and on-site presence.
Teardown: Managed teardown at the close of the event, returning the public space to its original condition.
Best Foot Forward is Zumiez's international amateur skateboarding contest series. Each year the Finals move to a new city, and in 2019 they came to Dallas, bringing 42 finalists from around the world to 4DWN Skatepark for a full weekend of competition.
The job was to turn a skatepark into a branded, crowd-ready festival weekend: build the site, power it, fill it with brand experiences, and make sure the local skate community showed up.
Branding: Led event branding across the site, carrying the Best Foot Forward identity through signage, activations and promotional materials, alongside a large-scale backdrop mural by artist Drigo.
Site layout: Designed the layout of vendor booths and brand activations across the park, planning crowd flow so attendees moved naturally between the contest, vendors and activations all weekend.
Activations: Planned and ran on-site brand activations to keep attendees engaged between contest heats.
Marketing: Drove local attendance through radio and Spotify campaigns, reaching the Dallas audience across audio channels.
Production and logistics: Managed vendors and core infrastructure, including bleacher seating for spectators and generators powering event lighting, from load-in through the live event to full teardown.
